Tennessee Vols athletic director Danny White receives a lot of "suggestions" on Twitter from fans.

He also receives some criticism from time to time (though I'm not sure why — he's done a terrific job since being hired at UT nearly 18 months ago).

As you can imagine, White doesn't usually respond to the messages on Twitter. But every now and then, he'll get a message so absurd that he can't help himself.

And that's what happened on Monday.

White sent out a tweet on Monday evening congratulating Tennessee's baseball team on their SEC Tournament championship win on Sunday against Florida.

A random "fan" replied to White's tweet saying "a late tweet is better than no tweet. I guess. Did you even watch?"

White quoted the tweet (which has since been deleted) and offered a snarky response.

"No, didn't see it. How'd it go," tweeted White, along with a photo of himself with his family at the game.

White is the perfect athletic director at the perfect time for Tennessee. He understands what makes UT so special. And he embraces all of those things.
