A 2024 Tennessee Vols commit won a bet against a 2024 South Carolina Gamecocks commit this week.

Four-star quarterback Jake Merklinger, who has been committed to Tennessee since late March, tweeted a photo on Wednesday of four-star tight end Michael Smith, a Gamecocks commit since January, decked out in Vols gear at school.

Merklinger and Smith are teammates at Calvary Day School in Savannah, GA.

(Though it doesn't look like Smith is fond of that idea.)
