The Tennessee Vols are reportedly losing a junior linebacker to the NCAA transfer portal.

On3's Pete Nakos reported on Monday that third-year Vols linebacker Kalib Perry is planning to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Perry, a former three-star recruit from Georgetown, KY, signed with Tennessee during the 2022 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-3 linebacker totaled 61 tackles and one forced fumble in three seasons with the Vols.

Perry played 17 snaps in Tennessee's 42-17 loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the first round of the College Football Playoff. He tied a career high with four tackles against the Buckeyes.

Tennessee's defensive depth takes another hit with the loss of Perry. He's not a player that was going to start for the Vols in 2025, but he has three seasons of SEC experience and certainly would've provided important linebacker depth for Tennessee next fall.
