The Tennessee Vols gave fans what they've been asking for since the end of the 2022 season on Thursday.

BYU transfer cornerback Gabe Jeudy-Lally announced on Thursday that he's coming to Knoxville to play for the Vols.

Fans have been begging for Tennesse to land a transfer defensive back in recent weeks and now they finally get their wish.

Jeudy-Lally is a former three-star recruit who originally signed with Vanderbilt during the 2019 recruiting cycle. He transferred to BYU after the 2021 season.

The Charlotte, NC native spent his first three seasons with the Commodores. He's played against Tennessee twice (he didn't play in 2019). Jeudy-Lally actually intercepted former Vols quarterback JT Shrout in Nashville in 2020.

Jeudy-Lally, 6-foot-1/180 lbs, started the final 10 games of the 2022 season for BYU. He's made 23 total starts in his career.

This addition to the secondary will give the Vols some added depth and a potential starter. He'll have to earn the job, of course, but Jeudy-Lally is a transfer player that definitely makes Tennessee a better team.
