The Tennessee Vols are among the top 10 schools for one of the top in-state wide receivers.
2027 four-star wide receiver Tae Walden Jr included the Vols in his top 10 schools this week, along with Oregon, Auburn, Georgia, Missouri, LSU, Ohio State, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Ole Miss.
Walden, 6-foot-2/165 pounds from Collierville, TN, is rated by Rivals as the No. 19 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of Tennessee.
“Tennessee, I’d say [I like] the way they run things, for sure,” said Walden to 247Sports in February of his interest in the Vols. “I got to sit in some of those meetings last year, and I like the offense they’ve got. And I can for sure see myself playing on Rocky Top.”
Walden could play either cornerback or wide receiver at the college level, but Tennessee is recruiting him as a wide receiver.
