We're getting closer to the reveal of the new EA Sports College Football game that's set to come out later this summer.

It will be the first new version of the popular video game series in a decade.

On Thursday, we learned that players who opt into the game will be paid $600 and they'll receive a free copy of the game. Some players will be used as brand ambassadors, which presumably means additional cash.

As of Thursday night, over 5,000 players have already registered to be in the game. That includes Tennessee Vols wide receiver Bru McCoy.

Tennessee fans can expect to see most players on the current roster included in the game. They'll also see Neyland Stadium and many of the game day traditions that are synonymous with football on Rocky Top.

One thing Vols fans won't see, however, is Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel patrolling the sidelines.

According to 247Sports' Brandon Marcello, real-life head coaches won't be included in the game, though that could change in future versions.

From 247Sports: Real-life coaches will not be included in the game, EA Sports told ESPN this week. That means noticeable faces like Ryan Day, Kirby Smart and Dabo Swinney will not patrol the digital sidelines in EA Sports College Football 25. It's possible current coaches will be included in future editions of the game beginning in 2025.

So instead of getting Heupel as a head coach on the sideline, Vols fans will likely get a generic coach with a generic look and a generic name.
