The Tennessee Vols are reportedly a "team to watch" for a highly-rated 2026 four-star recruit.
2026 four-star tight end Mack Sutter recently checked out the Vols and came away impressed — thanks in part to some one-on-one time with UT head coach Josh Heupel — according to Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Greg Smith.
From Rivals.com: Sutter, one of the most sought-after tight ends in the entire 2026 class, made his first trip to Tennessee. The four-star prospect received plenty of attention from the Volunteers' coaching staff, and also enjoyed some one-on-one time with Josh Heupel. Tennessee is certainly a program to watch for Sutter. He will visit Ohio State next.
Sutter, 6-foot-5/215 lbs from Dunlap, IL, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 8 athlete in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Illinois. He's also rated as the No. 102 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.
Sutter is already one of the most sought-after players in the 2026 recruiting class, which means this recruiting battle is really just getting started. But it sounds like the Vols are in a good spot, for now, when it comes to their pursuit of the coveted tight end.
Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs just created a recruiting headache for Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Vols
