A Tennessee Vols trio was included on an impressive list this week from 247Sports.

Matt Howe, a writer for 247Sports, put together a list of the top quarterback/wide receiver/running back trios in the nation and a Vols trio landed in the top five.

Quarterback Hendon Hooker, wide receiver Cedric Tillman, and running back Jabari Small came in at No. 4 on Howe's list.

From 247Sports:

Tennessee has the potential to have one of college football's most explosive offenses in 2022. Quarterback Hendon Hooker returns for a fifth collegiate season and second with the Vols after a great 2021 campaign where he threw for 2,945 yards with 31 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also rushed for 616 yards and five scores. Wide receiver Cedric Tillman broke onto the scene last season by catching 64 passes for 1,081 yards and 12 touchdowns. As for running back Jabari Small, the rising junior ran for 796 yards and nine touchdowns during his sophomore season in 2021.

Most folks know about Hooker and Tillman by now.

Tillman is the leading returning wide receiver in the SEC while Hooker is a dark horse candidate to win the Heisman.

Small, on the other hand, is a player that's probably flying under the radar a little bit outside of Tennessee.

But that could change in 2022.

The former three-star recruit rushed for 796 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

Impressive production from the Memphis native, but Small should be even better in 2022.

That's mostly because Small changed his body by adding 10-15 lbs during the offseason.

The added weight should allow Small to carry the ball more often for the Vols this upcoming season.

"One thing about Jabari that he's done a great job, he's added armor to his body," said UT running backs coach Jerry Mack on Tuesday. "You look at the last game of the season, he weighed in around 199. This year he's been weighing in consistently between 212-215, and that is going to help him down the road. As we get into games down the stretch, like being able to finish games is what we've been talking about. So, the added weight should help him a ton to try to increase his carries."

Tennessee has a chance to have a special season in 2022. I don't think they're going to challenge Georgia for the SEC East division title, but we could see the Vols win 10 games for the first time in 15 years this season.
