Tennessee Vols true freshman wide receiver Mike Matthews received some major praise from ESPN on Tuesday morning.
During Tuesday's episode of Get Up, Matthews was the first player to be recognized by former NFL offensive lineman Jeff Saturday during the pancake block segment of the show.
"Tennessee, you're being represented today," said Saturday. "Mike Matthews, let's start it out….the DB is trying to throw [Matthews] off, he has no chance. [Matthews] just takes him and dumps him in front of God and everybody. Shame and embarrassment should hit you right here."
Matthews, by the way, wasn't the only Tennessee player highlighted by ESPN on Tuesday morning.
Vols tight end Holden Staes also had a couple of huge blocks against Kentucky that were pointed out by Saturday.
Every team that's played Tennessee this season has talked about how physical the Vols play on both sides of the ball. That's not lip service from those coaches — the tape shows that Tennessee plays with an elite level of physicality, which is a big reason why teams are so banged up after playing the Volunteers.
