The official nickname for Tennessee Vols backup quarterback Gaston Moore has been revealed via UT head coach Josh Heupel.
And oh my goodness, it's absolutely perfect.
On Tuesday, Tennessee's creative team posted this week's cinematic recap of the Vols' win against Mississippi State.
The video shows Heupel addressing Tennessee's locker room at halftime, including the moment he told his players that starting quarterback Nico Iamaleava was out for the second half.
"Eight's out right now, we got Gas Pipe (Gaston Moore), let's go play ball," said Heupel in the clip.
Gas Pipe is an absolutely brilliant nickname for Moore — especially since the redshirt senior isn't afraid to let it rip anytime he gets into the game (and hey, he drew three defensive pass interference calls in the third quarter against Mississippi State).
If Iamaleava is unable to play against Georgia this weekend, the Gas Pipe will be unleashed in Sanford Stadium.
