The Tennessee Vols will have to wait a little longer to find out the outcome of a key recruiting battle.

One of the Tennessee Vols’ top 2027 recruiting targets has reportedly moved his commitment date.

2027 five-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman was planning to announce his commitment on Feb. 10, but he told On3 this week that he’s pushing the date back a couple of days.

Bowman will now announce his commitment on Feb. 12.

“I’m taking a little more time to think about it. I will be moving it back a couple of days to Feb. 12,” said Bowman to On3.

Bowman, 6-1, 174 pounds from Brentwood, TN, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 6 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee.

The five-star wide receiver was previously committed to the Oregon Ducks (Bowman backed off his pledge in September).

Where is Kesean Bowman most likely to commit?

Tennessee is very much in the mix for Bowman, but the Vols aren’t viewed as the favorites.

Instead, it appears that Miami and Vanderbilt are the teams to beat for the coveted wide receiver.

“My experience at Miami was great, honestly,” said Bowman to On3 in October. “It’s been my favorite visit so far. Even though the game itself wasn’t as exciting as some of the other home games Miami has had, the overall atmosphere was still really good.”

Oregon and Ohio State are also in the mix.

I have a feeling that, regardless of where Bowman commits in February, this battle will continue all the way until the early signing period next December.
