The Tennessee Vols fan base can be broke in two very separate groups — traditionalists and non-traditionalists.

And Pruitt may have caused a divide between the two groups on Friday.

It all started on Thursday when linebackers coach Brian Niedermeyer teased some black Vols jerseys.

On Friday, Pruitt was asked about the black jerseys by Fox Sports Knoxville.

And he seemed to indicate that he'd open to using them in the future.

Pruitt returned Tennessee to a more traditional look when he took over at Tennessee. Under Pruitt, the Vols have ditched the smokey gray jerseys and went back to black cleats with white socks. Simple.

But Pruitt probably realizes that black jerseys could help in recruiting.

And college football is all about recruiting.

It would be surprising to see Tennessee veer too far from a traditional look under Pruitt, but it sounds like it's something he's at least considering.
