One of the most memorable moments from the Tennessee Vols' season-opening 49-13 win against the Virginia Cavaliers came in the second quarter when UT quarterback Joe Milton destroyed a UVA defender with a vicious stiff arm.

Here's the play.

On Tuesday, while meeting with reporters, Vols offensive coordinator Joey Halzle was asked how Milton's stiff arm "graded out".

"Pretty good," responded Halzle. "If he did it a second earlier, he probably goes and scores. But like I said, that's (Milton) a big strong dude. He just took that guy and planted him into the ground. It was pretty cool."

Milton hasn't looked quite as elusive as Hendon Hooker looked for the Vols last season. But if he can continue to utilize his size and strength in the running game, Milton could could be able to provide Tennessee's offense with some elements that Hooker couldn't provide. Having a quarterback as big as Milton on the goal line (which is something that Tennessee took advantage of on their third touchdown of the day against Virginia) gives opposing defenses one more thing they have to prepare for when facing the Volunteers.

Teams already have to worry about enough when playing Tennessee. Adding another element to the offense — especially in short yardage situations — is just going to make life even more difficult for defensive coordinators that have to game plan for the Vols' offense.
