Tennessee Vols legend Eric Berry will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on December 5 during the 65th NFF Annual Awards Dinner Presented by Las Vegas at the ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Berry, who was a standout player for the Vols from 2007 to 2009, was announced as a member of the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame class earlier this year.

The National Football Foundation announced on Tuesday morning, via a press release, that Berry will receive an "on-campus salute" at Neyland Stadium during Tennessee's game against the Texas A&M Aggies on October 14.

According to the release, Berry will be presented with a Hall of Fame plaque that will stay on permanent display at Tennessee.

"Induction into the College Football Hall of Fame is the ultimate achievement in our sport, and the NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute tradition allows us to bring each inductee back to their alma mater for a truly memorable experience," said NFF President and CEO Steve Hatchell in the press release. "We look forward to celebrating the storied careers of the 2023 Hall of Fame Class with the tens of thousands of fans who will witness an on-campus salute this year."

Berry, who was the No. 5 overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft, was the SEC defensive player of the year in 2008. He also won the Jack Thorpe Award in 2009 as well as the Jack Tatum Trophy in 2008 and 2009. Berry was a two-time unanimous All-American (2008 and 2009).

The Georgia native finished his career at Tennessee with 14 career interceptions, 241 tackles, and three pick-sixes.
