2020 four-star linebacker Cam Riley included the Tennessee Vols in his top 14 schools on Monday evening.
Riley, 6-foot-3/207 lbs, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 10 player in the state of Alabama and the No. 19 outside linebacker in the nation.
The Evergreen, AL native has been close to committing to Auburn in recent weeks, telling Rivals "I would say I am about 60-70% sure it is going to be Auburn. There is a good chance I end up there, but I am not 100% sure yet."
Riley said he plans to commit in June and while he has the Tigers at the top of his right now, he said he's still "considering others".
The dynamic linebacker, who totaled 68 tackles as a junior at Hillcrest High School in 2018, unofficially visited Tennessee for a spring practice in late March.
But if the Vols want to beat out Auburn for Riley, they're going to need him on campus again (maybe a couple of times) in the not-so-distant future. For now, there's no way UT can compete with Riley's comfort level with the Tigers. But there's still several months until Riley will be forced to put pen to paper and make a decision. The Vols still have time to make a serious move with Riley.
UT's 2020 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 30 in the nation, currently has six commits.
