The Tennessee Vols are one of the programs still in the mix for an elite 2026 four-star offensive lineman from Florida.
2026 four-star offensive lineman Grant Wise included Tennessee in his top five schools this week, along with Alabama, Clemson, Miami, and Oregon.
Wise, 6-foot-3/310 lbs from Milton, FL, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 12 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 32 player in the state of Florida. He's also rated as the No. 216 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.
The four-star recruit isn't just catching the eyes of college coaches, he's also made a big impression on some of his fellow 2026 recruits.
2026 four-star offensive lineman Chris Booker, an Alabama commit, told The Athletic this week that he really likes Wise's game.
“There’s another O-lineman, Grant Wise. I’ve seen him on a couple of visits. I’ve seen him on junior day. I hope he’s able to join us (at Alabama),” said Booker. “I’ve watched his film — and this is not the coaches telling me to say this. I’ve just watched his film individually. I like the way he plays.”
Alabama and Oregon are currently viewed as the favorites for Wise, but the Volunteers are very much in the mix for the talented offensive lineman.
“Really enjoyed being back on campus,” said Wise to On3's Steve Wiltfong after a recent trip to Knoxville. “Had an amazing day in Knoxville. Biggest takeaway from me is that Tennessee football is family!”
Wise is expected to return to Tennessee for a visit in the coming weeks for a spring practice.
Tennessee currently has eight players committed to its 2026 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 6 in the nation.
