A former Tennessee Vols standout was described this week by The Tennessean as a safe pick for the Tennessee Titans in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Tennessean thinks former Vols cornerback Kamal Hadden would be a safe pick in the final round of the draft, noting that Hadden is "a former Vol who would be an absolute steal in the seventh round".
Maybe it's because of the injury that ended his 2023 season. Or maybe it's just a lack of exposure in general. Either way, it doesn't seem like Hadden is receiving nearly enough attention when it comes to the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Michigan native possesses elite athleticism and he continued to improve throughout his time at Tennessee.
In 2023, Hadden was an elite player for the Vols, leading the nation in completion percentage when targeted (Hadden allowed a completion rate of just 7 percent). His coverage grade was also top five according to Pro Football Focus.
Even without the hype he deserves, it's hard to see Hadden falling to the seventh round. NFL teams recognize talent when draft analysts don't. But if Hadden does fall to the seventh round, it won't just be a safe pick (for the Titans or whoever lands the former Vol), it could be the steal of the draft.
Peyton Manning might avoid what would’ve been a tough situation as a former Vol
Good news for Peyton, bad news for the rest of college football
