The Tennessee Vols made an important transfer portal addition on Tuesday.

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, LSU transfer offensive lineman Ory Williams has committed to Tennessee.

Williams, 6-foot-8/300 pounds, started two games at left tackle for the Tigers in 2025. He has three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Williams is the Vols’ second transfer addition of the week. Kansas State transfer safety Qua Moss committed to Tennessee on Sunday.

How will Ory Williams fit with the Tennessee Vols

Tennessee badly needed some offensive line depth after losing Lance Heard, William Satterwhite, Max Anderson, and Bennett Warren to the transfer portal.

The loss of Heard, the Vols’ starting left tackle last season, is particularly impactful.

For now, the feeling is that former five-star recruit David Sanders Jr, who started at right tackle in 2025, will play left tackle for Tennessee in 2026. It’s unclear who will play right tackle. Williams, however, is now a strong option to take over at right tackle next fall. Jesse Perry, who likely would’ve played right tackle had the Vols not landed a transfer tackle, can move back inside to guard if Williams secures the right tackle job.
