Tennessee Vols legend and NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning returned to Saturday Night Live on Sunday night for NBC's SNL50, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the iconic show.
Manning was featured in a sketch that involved former SNL cast members Amy Poehler and Tina Fey taking questions from the audience.
Some of the most famous names in show business participated in the sketch, ranging from Ryan Reynolds and Julia Louis-Dreyfus to Cher and Keith Richards.
The sketch ended with Peyton asking Poehler and Fey if show creator and producer Lorne Michaels was planning on retiring.
Peyton then went on a hilarious "rant" about how difficult retired life has been for him.
"Lorne, never retire," says Peyton. "It's brutal out here…..I hate being retired. Getting old sucks, you feel like such a loser."
Peyton's part starts at 8:09 mark of the video below.
Peyton previously hosted SNL in 2007. His United Way sketch is arguably one of the most memorable sketches in the history of the show (a history that includes a large number of memorable sketches).
There's no doubting Peyton's comedic chops — he's a natural.
