The Tennessee Vols are looking to close out the 2026 recruiting cycle on a high note.

Tennessee currently has 23 players committed to its 2026 recruiting class.

The Vols, however, are hoping to add a couple of players to their class during the early signing period (which begins on Dec. 3).

Tennessee Vols predicted to steal a 2026 commit from the Alabama Crimson Tide

One player the Vols could be on the verge of adding to their 2026 recruiting class is four-star defensive lineman JJ Finch.

Finch, 6-3, 260 lbs, from Indianapolis, IN, is rated by Rivals as the No. 30 defensive lineman in the nation and the No. 5 player in the state of Indiana. He’s been committed to Alabama since June.

On3’s Steve Wiltfong predicted on Tuesday that Finch will sign with Tennessee this week, instead of sticking with Alabama.

“JJ Finch had been struggling to make a final decision between sticking with Alabama or rolling with the Vols,” wrote Wiltfong. “In the end it’s looking like Tennessee is going to win out.”

Finch took an unofficial visit to Tennessee in November for the Vols’ dark mode game against the Oklahoma Sooners.

The Vols also have several other targets they’re hoping to land this week, but we’ll have to see how things shake out on Wednesday when the early signing period gets underway.
