It looks like former Tennessee Vols quarterback Josh Dobbs will be starting his third straight NFL regular season game on Sunday afternoon in Washington DC.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported on Wednesday that Dobbs is expected to start for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday with former No. 1 overall draft pick Kyler Murray still sidelined (Murray is on the PUP list where he'll stay frat least the first four games of the 2023 season).

The former Tennessee standout started the final two games of the 2022 season for the Tennessee Titans.

Arizona traded a 2024 fifth-round draft pick to Cleveland Browns for Dobbs last month.

It sounds like Dobbs will have to fight to keep the starting job until Murray returns, but he should have the edge over rookie quarterback Clayton Tune (the experience that Dobbs gained from starting two games for the Titans last season should help the former Vol fend off Tune).

Dobbs, who turned 28 earlier this year, has completed 50 of 85 passes for 456 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions so far during his NFL career.
