The latest mock draft from ESPN has Tennessee Vols running back Jaylen Wright landing in an excellent situation.

ESPN's Matt Miller has the Cincinnati Bengals, a legitimate Super Bowl contender entering the 2024 season, selecting Wright with the No. 80 overall selection (Round Three) in the 2024 NFL Draft.

From ESPN: Joe Mixon is off to Houston, replaced with Zack Moss and Chase Brown in Cincinnati. But Wright has the electric speed and outside running ability to push them both down the depth chart and be a rookie starter.

The Bengals signed running back Zack Moss to a two-year deal earlier this offseason.

Moss, who will turn 27 in December, is expected to be Cincinnati's top running back in 2024. But if Wright lands with the Bengals, there will be plenty of opportunities for carries for the former Vol.

Wright will turn 21 on April 1. His youth makes him an attractive option for NFL teams — especially in this age of NIL deals and the extra COVID year of eligibility (which has led to an influx of 24-year-old NFL rookies).

We've seen Wright's draft stock rise significantly since his excellent performance at the NFL scouting combine earlier this month. His elite speed, excellent vision, and above average pass protection skills should ensure that Wright doesn't slip past the third or fourth round in next month's draft.
