One of the Tennessee Vols' top remaining 2024 recruiting targets will announce his commitment on Thanksgiving Day at 3:00 PM ET.
2024 four-star cornerback Kam Mikell is expected to choose between Colorado, Tennessee, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Georgia on Thanksgiving Day.
Mikell, 6-foot-1/181 lbs from Statesboro, GA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 4 athlete in the nation and the No. 14 player in the state of Georgia. He's also rated as the No. 79 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class.
While Mikell says five schools are in the mix, this decision is expected to come down to Colorado, Georgia, or Tennessee.
According to On3's Chad Simmons, Georgia has "surged" in recent weeks and might have a "slight edge" in the battle for Mikell.
If the Vols are going to close the gap with Georgia, they have to start landing some recruits over the Bulldogs. This isn't necessarily a "must-win" recruiting battle for Tennessee, but it's the type of recruiting battle the Vols need to start winning if they're going to compete with the Bulldogs on an annual basis.
Mikell will announce his commitment on Thanksgiving Day live on his Instagram page.
