The Tennessee Vols are reportedly "trending" for a 2026 in-state recruit.
According to On3's Chad Simmons, the Vols are trending for 2026 three-star offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda.
Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, and South Carolina are also in the mix for Osenda.
"A date is not locked in, and his decision may not be 100% yet either, but we like when Josh Heupel’s program stands," wrote Simmons on Monday. "We are hearing Georgia is competing too, but Tennessee is the school he is most familiar with."
January 14 is a potential commitment date for Osenda. But as Simmons noted, that's not locked in at this time.
Osenda, 6-foot-7/320 lbs from Chattanooga, TN, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 32 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 10 player in the state of Tennessee.
The three-star recruit told 247Sports in November, after speaking highly of Tennessee, that he already has a good idea of where he wants to commit. That comment seems to reinforce the thought that the Vols are the team to beat in this recruiting battle.
Tennessee currently has six players committed to its 2026 recruiting class, which is headlined by five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon.
