The Tennessee Vols, predictably, fell in the latest SEC power rankings from 247Sports thanks to a 29-16 loss to the Florida Gators this past weekend.

After the loss to Florida, the Vols find themselves at No. 9 in 247Sports' SEC power rankings.

From 247Sports: Tennessee succumbed to a hostile environment and first-half flurry from Florida over the weekend, which extended the program's losing skid to the Gators on the road. It was a disheartening showing for a team that hasn't looked the part over the first three games and still hasn't found its rhythm with Joe Milton at quarterback. Believed to be the SEC's third-best team entering the season, Tennessee has a long way to go if the Vols plan on climbing back toward the top 10 of the polls. That starts with Milton playing with more confidence and his receivers being on the same page.

Tennessee probably won't have a chance to make much of a move in the power rankings this week with a home against UTSA coming up (though UTSA is far from a pushover….that game will be a battle).

The Vols' next SEC game comes on September 30 when Tennessee hosts the South Carolina gamecocks in a night game at Neyland Stadium.

The phrase "must-win game" gets overused a bit, but it certainly applies to Tennessee's looming matchup against South Carolina.
