Former Tennessee Vols running back Alvin Kamara was involved in a tough to watch sideline moment last week in the New Orleans Saints' loss to the Detroit Lions.

Kamara collided with a Saints sideline worker which resulted in two torn ligaments, a fractured fibula, and cartilage damage.

Nick Piazza, the sideline worker who suffered the injuries, told Nola.com that Kamara sent him a signed ball and a signed jersey, along with a note, this week.

It was obviously a freak thing that can happen any NFL game (we have seen plenty of close calls over the years in similar situations). It was definitely a nice gesture from Kamara to reach out to Piazza and show some support.
