The Tennessee Vols have chosen an appropriate game to continue what appears to be a new program tradition.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel announced on Monday during his weekly press conference that UT football will honor the late Pat Summitt on Saturday with their uniforms during the Vols' game against UConn.

A year ago, Tennessee honored Summitt by wearing light blue accessories for the Vols' game against UT-Martin.

Summitt, who was from Clarksville, TN, played college basketball at UT-Martin from 1970-1974.

It feels appropriate that the Vols will honor Summitt in a game against UConn, a program that was the Lady Vols' biggest rival during the second half of Summitt's legendary run as UT's head coach.

November is also Alzheimer's Disease awareness month. Summitt passed away in 2016 at the age of 64 after a five-year battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Tennessee and UConn kick off at 12:00 PM ET on Saturday.
