Tennessee Vols true freshman defensive back Boo Carter hasn't played a snap for UT yet and he won't play the Texas Longhorns until 2025.

But the Chattanooga native already has a message for Texas.

Carter appeared on The Players Lounge Tennessee with Lady Vols softball outfielder Rylie West this week and he was asked about Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC in 2024.

"Knowing that they're coming into the SEC, I mean, they're the wrong T," said Carter. "I really do hope we do get to play against them…show them who the real T is. Put the T on top."

Carter's comment, which was all in fun, falls in line with what Vols head coach Josh Heupel said at SEC Media Days last summer.

"There's only one real UT and only one real right shade of orange," said Heupel with a grin last July.

Too bad we won't get to see Texas and Tennessee play until 2025. Unless, of course, the two programs make it to the SEC Championship game this fall. You never know…
