Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jauan Jennings went viral during the 49ers’ win against the Colts on Monday Night Football.
Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jauan Jennings went viral during the San Francisco 49ers’ win over the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football for his real life “grinch” moment.
Jennings had a big night for the 49ers in the 48-27 win, catching five passes for 71 yards and a touchdown.
After catching a touchdown pass in the second half, Jennings trolled a Colts fan by pretending to give away the football before pulling it away from the fan.
What Jauan Jennings said about his touchdown celebration
Jennings, a seventh round pick by the 49ers in the 2020 NFL Draft, was asked about his touchdown celebration after the game by reporters.
“That was just [in] the moment,” said Jennings when asked if the celebration was planned. “It felt kind of right to do. She (the fan) didn’t have any 49ers gear on, so that’s what she got.”
Jennings has been banged up at times this season, but he’s still had a solid season with 49 receptions for 566 yards and eight touchdowns (a career high).
