Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jauan Jennings received some positive news on Tuesday.

The fourth-year San Francisco 49ers wide receiver hasn't played since Week 15 against the Arizona Cardinals due to a concussion. Jennings missed the 49ers' last three games of the regular season.

On Wednesday, however, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan announced that Jennings has cleared the concussion protocol and will be good to go for the playoffs.

The 49ers have a bye in the first round of the playoffs thanks to earning the No. 1 overall seed.

Jennings had 19 receptions for 265 yards and one touchdown in 13 games this season. Those aren't gaudy numbers, but he's still an incredibly important part of San Francisco's offense. Jennings is a key run blocker for the 49ers and he's also known for coming up with key catches on third down (he's earned the nickname "third-and-Jauan" in San Fran).

The 49ers will face the lowest remaining seed in the second round of the playoffs. They could possibly play the Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, or Los Angele Rams.
