Jaime Ffrench has become one of the hottest names in all of college football recruiting thanks to his five star skills, high profile scholarship offers, and long run of visits this year with some of the biggest brands in the sport. Now he's added "OT7 Flag Football Championship winner" to the list of reasons why college football programs and fans around the country will be obsessed with him.

Ffrench took part in this past weekend's OT7 Championships with South Florida Express, one of the premier teams in all of flag football, and helped lead them to a championship victory. Now Ffrench is set to visit Miami, Tennessee, and Texas in a matter of less than two weeks. So, why is everyone so into Ffrench, where will he end up going, and do the Vols have a real shot at landing him?

Jaime Ffrench's elite skill set and OT7 dominance

Jaime Ffrench brings an elite skill set that should translate to on-field success the moment he steps onto a college football field wherever he goes. He just posted over 1,200 receiving yards and 14 scores last fall, dominates the basketball court, the track, and boasts wildly impressive footwork, route running, and finish for a high school football wide receiver.

That kept on showing up at the OT7 tournament this past weekend as he would win with double moves, adjustments, and toe drag swag like he does in the video below from On3 Sports' Charles Power.

His speed and YAC ability that he shows off on the 11-on-11 football field was on constant display at OT7 too. Here he is turning a simple curl route into an easy long touchdown against Team Fleaux, giving the little Tyreek "deuces" at the end.

After he thoroughly embarrassed half of the defensive backs at the OT7 Championships one thing was clear: Jaime Ffrench was the most impressive wide receiver there. In a tournament full of the best players in the game, Ffrench stood above all the other playmakers. He was the second overall most impressive performer according to On3 Sports behind only Top 50 QB, Deuce Knight.

Jaime Ffrenche's legend only continues to grow. At this rate, he may rise into the top 10 or 15 recruits in the entire nation when the 2025 recruiting class rankings are solidified. But where will he end up playing his college football?

Which college football programs are truly in the mix for Jaime Ffrench?

A couple short weeks ago, experts at multiple recruiting services put in predictions that Ffrench would eventually be joining the Texas Longhorns and Steve Sarkisian. That's certainly plausible given their recent track record of sending players to the league, Ffrench's emphasis on the importance of relationships in interviews (and he's seemingly close with them now), and his upcoming final visit with them on June 21st. However, it's far from a lock.

Miami and Tennessee both get to see him up close and personal here this week now for official visits (Miami on Tuesday, Tennessee on the weekend). Both schools certainly look like they're firmly in the mix for his services. However, Tennessee has already seen Ffrench twice this spring. His interest looks to be growing towards the Vols.

Outside of those three, LSU and Ohio State are both up there, as well as Florida State too. LSU just had him on campus to end May. Ohio State had him in town this spring and has met for four unofficials with him. Florida State has met with him five times or more unofficially too, despite the perceived lack of interest lately.

If the Vols can convince Ffrench that Josh Heupel's offense could unlock every bit of his ability they may be able to steal him away from Texas. And it might not hurt if Dakorien Moore and Kaliq Lockett start trending elsewhere, and independently. Those two top pedigree wide receivers plus Ffrench have all discussed playing together, but that may not be the most ideal plan for all three. Regardless, Ffrench is nearing his decision (commitment date of August 30th). We'll know here soon one way or another.
