The Tennessee Vols won the vote for Uniswag's best college football uniform of the year for the 2024 season, but I'm not sure all UT fans will agree with the decision.
Much to the dismay of the traditionalists, Tennessee's smokey grey uniform was named the college football uniform of the year in 2024.
Tennessee wore the smokey grey uniform in the Vols' season-opening win against Chattanooga last fall.

I'm not the biggest fan of alternate uniforms (I guess I'm somewhat of a traditionalist), but I thought the 2024 version of Vols' smokey grey was a solid uniform (though I would've voted for the black uniforms over the grey uniforms when it comes to alternates for Tennessee) . And I like that Tennessee chose to wear the smokey greys against Chattanooga instead of a big-time SEC game (I still can't believe the Vols wore smokey grey uniforms in their win against Florida in 2016….thanks a lot Butch Jones).
There's no doubt that the smokey grey uniforms are popular with players and younger fans, but there are still plenty of older fans who would prefer that Tennessee only wears orange and white on Saturdays in the fall. And hey, I get it — the Vols' traditional orange and white uniforms are among the most iconic in college football.
