After serving as the backup to Quinn Ewers for the last two seasons, quarterback Arch Manning will finally be "the guy" for the Texas Longhorns in 2025.

Manning started a couple of games for Texas in 2024 when Ewers was injured, but with Ewers moving on to the NFL, the Longhorns are now Arch's team.

Arch spoke to ESPN this week about taking over as the starter at Texas and he dove into his decision to sign with the Longhorns out of high school.

At one point during the interview, Arch was asked what part of his game he took from each of his famous uncles (Peyton and Eli).

Arch, who is much faster than Peyton or Eli ever dreamed of being, obviously didn't point to foot speed.

Instead, he talked about Peyton's elite preparation.

"His preparation, his accuracy," said Arch when asked what he takes from Peyton. "The way he leads other guys and gets the most out of his teammates. Peyton was in town this past summer and I wanted to throw with him. And like every little detail, where am I parking, what time are we warming up, what time are we finishing, what's the weather like? He wants to know it all. It's cool to see that because that's what you need out of a quarterback."

There's a lot of pressure on Arch to be an elite quarterback who takes over the sport. He certainly has the skills to do it and we'll see this fall if he can meet those expectations.

While we don't know how Arch's college (and pro) career will turn out, there is one thing we do know — he might be the most prepared college quarterback of all time things to his uncles, his father (Cooper), and his grandfather (Archie).
