Earlier this month, a report indicated that Texas Longhorns true freshman quarterback Arch Manning earned more in NIL cash this season as a third-stringer than San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy earned as an NFL starter.

On Saturday, ahead of the Longhorns' showdown against Washington in the Sugar Bowl, Manning met with reporters. And he said that's not entirely sure how much he's making in NIL money, but noted that he doesn't think he's earning more than Purdy. '"

“I’m not involved with my NIL," said Manning. "You’d have to ask my dad about that. I have no idea. I don’t think I’m making however much more than Brock Purdy.”

Cooper Manning, Arch's dad, told Yahoo Sports that those reports are "BS".

"All this NIL stuff is BS," said Cooper. "People just make up numbers. Don’t believe what you read."

Arch has a known deal with Panini America that's believed to be worth "in the low six figures".

Eventually, Arch will be the starter at Texas and he'll have so many NIL opportunities that he'll have to say "no" quite a bit. But for now, that's simply not the case — at least that's what the Mannings say.
