The Tennessee Vols are among the early favorites for an elite 2027 four-star edge rusher.
2027 four-star edge Rashad Streets, 6-foot-4/230 lbs from Raleigh, NC, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 8 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of North Carolina. He’s also rated as the No. 43 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.
It’s still early in the process for Streets, but a few schools are already standing out for the talented recruit.
Florida State, Penn State, Oregon, North Carolina, South Carolina, NC State, Ohio State, and Tennessee are among the early standouts for Streets.
“Coach Chop (LeVorn Harbin) has been really consistent. He checks in on me and my mom, and I like how he coaches,” said Streets to On3 of his interest in the Vols. “I could benefit from Tennessee’s defense and development. Seeing James Pearce go to the NFL really stood out.”
Streets is scheduled to visit Tennessee on September 13 for the Vols’ matchup against Georgia. He also has visits planned this fall to Clemson, Penn State, South Carolina, Ohio State, and Oregon.
We should have a better idea of where Streets’ recruitment stands after those visits. For now, though, the Vols are very much in the mix for the four-star edge rusher.
