Vol fans would do almost anything to bring another national championship to Rocky Top. In the major men's sports, it's been 24 long years since football climbed to the top of the mountain in 1998 and the Big Orange hasn't been back since.

But UT baseball coach Tony Vitello wants VERY badly to end that drought.

We all know that Vol baseball is currently the No. 1 team in America and has highly impressed national and local onlookers alike. The team easily has the potential to win a national title. So, what would Vitello give up to get his team a College World Series championship if he had to?

Vitello was asked this question while being interviewed on the Bussin' with the Boys podcast this week. Check out what he said… (start at 30:45)

"I would go Ronnie Lott. I would let a finger be taken off to go to Omaha."

Wow. Let's hope that Tennessee winning a national title in baseball doesn't require Coach Vitello to surrender a finger but I have to say that I truly love his dedication. The man would clearly lay it all on the line to win big and it's that fire that makes me think that Vitello just might be the first guy in far too long to bring a natty back to Knoxville.
