One of the most highly coveted college football recruits in the nation has set four upcoming visits with his top schools.
DJ Pickett, a five-star athlete from Zephyrhills, Florida is rated as a top ten player in the entire nation and already has 41 scholarship offers according to 247Sports. Most recruits narrow things down to just a few schools, but Pickett has indicated for months that he has several blue blood college football programs still in the mix for his services.
As of today, Steve Wiltfong reported that he's locked in four upcoming visits for the summer with LSU, Georgia, Miami (FL), and Oregon. And apparently both Florida and Florida State are still fighting for Pickett too.
Pickett plays both defensive back and wide receiver right now. He could truly go either way when he makes it to the next level. However, things seem to be trending towards him playing safety or cornerback given his high pass defended numbers and success on the back end of his team's defense.
This looks to be perhaps the most hotly contended recruiting battle of any recruit in the nation thanks to Pickett's ball skills, versatility, and elite track speed. On top of the six schools mentioned already Pickett is also visiting Clemson this summer, and has already visited both Texas A&M and Michigan.
