Vanderbilt Commodores quarterback Diego Pavia has had his fair share of viral moments over the last year.
From his “turnt” post-game interview after beating Alabama to telling Bussin with the Boys that Vanderbilt is going to run the state of Tennessee this fall, there’s been no shortage of viral gold from the former New Mexico State quarterback.
So it should be no surprise that Pavia generated headlines for some “colorful” comments that he made in Netflix’s Any Given Saturday documentary series that was released earlier this week.
“We can beat Tennessee literally any given Saturday,” said Pavia in one episode. “They think they’re going to destroy us…f–k every single one of them dudes. We’re gonna win this game at all cost.”
Pavia joined The Paul Finebaum Show this week where he was asked about his comments that were directed at Tennessee.
The Vandy quarterback, however, didn’t seem to recall what he said about the Volunteers.
“I don’t have my own Netflix account or anything like that, so I haven’t been able to watch the whole series or anything,” said Pavia. “But we got to watch our episode — like two of the episodes — here as a team.”
“Well, honestly we’re in camp, so I’m not on social media,” continued Pavia when asked about the backlash from Tennessee fans. “But yeah, I don’t know. I didn’t hear it anything when we watched it as a team. So maybe I’ll have to go back and check it out when I get a Netflix account.”
I’m not sure anyone is buying that Pavia doesn’t recall what he said about Tennessee.
I also don’t think it’s a big deal that Pavia said what he said. He’s an incredibly competitive player, and he believes in his teammates. I don’t see the issue at all.
But I also don’t believe that he’s unaware that his “f–k every single one of them dudes” quote is plastered all over the internet right now.

One of the most hyped players in the Tennessee Vols’ 2023 recruiting class was easily four-star athlete Cam Seldon. Seldon, however, never made a real impact […]
