Josh Dobbs hasn't started for the Minnesota Vikings since week 14 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
After leading the Vikings to two wins in his first two games with the franchise, the former Tennessee Vols standout lost his next two starts.
Against the Raiders, Dobbs was unable to lead the Vikings on any scoring drives and he was replaced by Nick Mullens, who led Minnesota to three points in a 3-0 win.
Mullens started the next two games which were both losses for the Vikings.
As a result, Minnesota head coach Kevin O'Connell said this week that Mullens, Dobbs, and rookie Jaren Hall were all in the mix to start in Week 17 against the Green Bay Packers.
On Thursday, it was Hall who was announced as the starter for Week 17.
Dobbs could still have a chance to make an impact for the Vikings this season — considering the way Minnesota has rotated quarterbacks since Kirk Cousins' season-ending injury.
Remarkably, the Vikings are still in the mix for a playoff spot as they sit just a game out of one of the final three wild card spots.
