There's a viral video going around of Tennessee Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker that should get UT fans fired up for the final few games of the season.
Before the end of Tennessee's 27-13 loss to Georgia, Hooker was on the sidelines making sure his teammates knew that UT still has plenty to play for this season.
Hooker mentioned that conversation on Monday during a media session with reporters.
"That's something (learning from the loss) that I communicated to the offense before the game was even over," said Hooker on Monday. "Moving forward, just wanted to continue to encourage guys as I do on a daily basis. To get in here and get extra work in…we can't feel sorry for ourselves."
A fan in the stands caught that moment on video.
That's true leadership. That's someone who cares deeply about Tennessee, his teammates, and winning football games.
Hendon Hooker isn't just a special football player, he's a special person. And his impact on this program is going to be felt for years. Hooker has helped create a standard at Tennessee when it comes to the quarterback room. And when he's gone next season, his influence will live via current backup quarterbacks Joe Milton and Tayven Jackson.
Whatever success Tennessee finds in the coming years will be in part because Hooker wore the Power T for two seasons.
