The Tennessee Vols, like every program in college football, are balancing transfer portal madness and high school recruiting this month.
Tennessee has been aggressive in the portal over the last week, making several key additions already.
The Vols are also putting in work on their 2027 recruiting class.
That work includes an upcoming visit from one of Tennessee’s top 2027 targets.
2027 5-star CB Joshua Dobson set to visit Tennessee
2027 five-star cornerback Joshua Dobson will visit Tennessee on January 17 according to 247Sports.
The Vols will host the Kentucky Wildcats in Thompson-Boling Arena on January 17, so Dobson should get to see Rocky Top at its best.
Dobson, 6-foot-1/175 pounds from Fort Mill, SC, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 2 cornerback in the nation and the No. 3 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.
Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel visited Dobson earlier this month.
Auburn, Texas, Florida, South Carolina, Notre Dame, and LSU are also in the mix for Dobson.
