Tennessee Vols offensive lineman RJ Perry entered the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday according to a report from On3's Matt Zenitz.

Perry is a former three-star recruit who signed with Tennessee during the 2020 recruiting cycle.

The Fairfield, AL native was rated as the No. 61 defensive tackle in the 2020 class and the No. 30 player in the state of Alabama.

Perry moved to the offensive line shortly after arriving in Knoxville.

It was unlikely that Perry was going to see much action next year for the Vols. He didn't play at all as a true freshman in 2020 and the majority of his playing time over the last two seasons came on extra-point attempts.

This is a transfer that shouldn't really impact Tennessee. In fact, it's another roster spot that can be used for the Vols either via the transfer portal or for signing a high school recruit in February (which seems unlikely, but it's possible if the staff finds a kid they like).
