The Tennessee Vols are the top seed in the SEC Tournament which gets underway later this week.
That means the Vols won't play until Friday at 12:00 PM ET when they take on the winner of the LSU vs Mississippi State game (which will be played on Thursday at 12:00 PM ET).
A win on Friday for the Vols would set up a potential matchup on Saturday between Tennessee and Auburn.
On Monday, 247Sports predicted the outcome for each game in the SEC Tournament. They have Tennessee beating Mississippi State on Friday before beating Auburn on Saturday.
247Sports then has the Vols beating Kentucky in the championship game on Sunday.
From 247Sports: Two teams arguably playing the best basketball in the SEC right now, Kentucky and Tennessee could meet in the SEC Tournament title game for the third time since 1979 and first since 2018 if they're able to cruise through Friday and Saturday's contests.
If Tennessee beats Kentucky in the SEC Tournament championship game, they'll absolutely be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. And the Vols will be entering the tournament on a hot streak.
Of course, the Vols have to take care of business next weekend first.
Predictions are nice. But ultimately, they mean absolutely nothing when it comes to the actual outcomes of games.
