The Tennessee Vols are losing one of their top players, wide receiver Chris Brazzell, to the 2026 NFL Draft, but they may have a suitable replacement already on the roster.

True freshman wide receiver Radarious Jackson only caught seven passes for 72 yards in 2025*, but he showed enough to impress VolQuest’s Brent Hubbs.

Jackson, 6-foot-3/210 pounds from Memphis, TN, was rated as a four-star recruit in the 2025 recruiting class.

Brent Hubbs says he’s buying stock in Vols wide receiver Radarious Jackson

Hubbs joined Voice of the Vols Mike Keith on the Vol Network’s Big Orange Rewind and he made it clear that he likes what he’s seen from Jackson.

“One (player) I’m excited to see in the bowl game, because he’s gonna get opportunities, I’m buying stock in Radarious Jackson,” said Hubbs. “I am buying stock in that one right now. I think Radarious Jackson will get ample opportunities with Chris Brazzell not [playing] in the bowl game. And I am anxious to see what Radarious Jackson does next year, provided he stays healthy.

“Everybody forgets that he missed [time] with a collarbone deal for a good bit of this season. I think when he’s been called upon and asked to play, he’s made plays, really, in every game he’s been asked to do something. I’m big on Radarious Jackson.”

Radarious Jackson has the traits to be a star for the Tennessee Vols

Jackson certainly appears to be the total package. He’s got ideal size, he’s fast (he ran track in high school), he has elite body control, and he has good hands. It’ll be fun to keep an eye on his development next fall as he absolutely has the skillset to be one of the best receivers in the SEC.

By the way, Jackson’s numbers as a true freshman were in the same range as the numbers from Mike Matthews (seven receptions for 90 yards) and Braylon Staley (three receptions for 21 yards) as true freshmen at Tennessee in 2024.

Matthews and Staley combined for 1,576 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in 2025.
