Tennessee Vols wide receiver Chris Brazzell is currently projected, by most outlets, as a day two selection in the 2026 NFL Draft,

Brazzell, however, could boost his stock this week at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis.

The Texas native declared for the 2026 NFL Draft following a breakout redshirt junior season in which he caught 62 passes for 1,017 yards and nine touchdowns.

Latest mock draft has Chris Brazzell landing in a dream scenario

The latest mock draft from Pro Football Focus has Brazzell landing in a dream scenario.

PFF’s Dalton Wasserman has Brazzell going to the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round (No. 74 overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Getting selected by the Chiefs would be a perfect scenario for Brazzell. The Chiefs, after all, have struggled to find a No. 1 wide receiver after trading Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins a couple of years ago. There’s a clear path to being a No. 1 wide receiver in Kansas City.

And catching passes from Patrick Mahomes is a dream for any young wide receiver.

It would also be a perfect scenario for Tennessee.

The Vols have yet to have a wide receiver who played in Josh Heupel’s offense find success in the NFL, which has led to increased criticism of Tennessee’s offense.

Part of the reason that’s been the case, though, is because the wide receivers that played under Heupel have been drafted to less-than-ideal situations (Cedric Tillman to the Cleveland Browns and Jalin Hyatt to the New York Giants, for example).

Brazzell landing with the Chiefs would give Tennessee a solid chance at finally shutting down the narrative that wide receivers from Heupel’s offense can’t find success in the NFL.
