Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Josh Palmer looked a lot like his former UT teammate Jauan Jennings on Saturday night.
Palmer, who was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the third round (No. 77 overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft, did his best Jennings impression by breaking several tackles on an impressive catch and run to the end zone in the Chargers' 32-18 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Palmer finished the night with three receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown.
The former Vol, a native of Canada who played at Tennessee from 2017 to 2020, is looking to solidify a role as the Chargers' No. 3 wide receiver behind Mike Williams and Keenan Allen.
Palmer's performance on Saturday night against the Cowboys should be enough to lock up that No. 3 spot.
The former Tennessee standout put up modest numbers for Los Angeles last season as a rookie, catching 33 passes for 333 yards and four touchdowns. If he earns a starting role in 2022, he could have a massive breakout season for the Chargers in 2022.
