Iamaleava is the No. 4 quarterback in the class of 2023 and is a perfect fit for Josh Heupel’s frenetic offense. Obviously, Heupel and his staff are putting the hard sell on Iamaleava while they have him in town.
Here are some highlights of the trip that the star prospect and his family posted on social media in the last couple of days…
A tweet from Nico’s brother Madden, a 2025 quarterback prospect himself, showing the two at the Topgolf Swing Suite at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Knoxville…
Iamaleava and his family attended Tennessee basketball's win over Arkansas. The atmosphere was absolutely electric and apparently, a "WE WANT NICO" chant broke out from the fans at the game…
And here’s the most intriguing tweet of them all. Iamaleava called Knoxville a “great place” and posted a short video of himself doing an interview where he is talking about playing in a national championship game and seeing Tennessee orange in the stands…
You certainly love to see things like this when a recruit is spending time at UT and you have to hope the sales pitch is working. It’s hard to understate what a commitment from a player of Iamaleava’s caliber could do for Tennessee right now.
Nico has stated that he will likely commit somewhere in May. We’ll all be keeping an eye out to see if there is any movement for Iamaleava in UT’s favor.
