Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Vols have some special talent coming in over the next couple of years. 5-star Quarterback Nico Lamaleava is at the helm of it. He could be the prized player that takes the Vols' program under Heupel to the next level.
Throws like this one are what excite the Vols and their fans.
These type of plays are nothing new for Lamaleava. He's been lighting up the high school football scene for multiple seasons now. Additionally, he and Heupel have a great relationship. His commitment feels strong.
Lamaleava had offers from schools like Ohio State, Alabama, and Georgia. He chose the Vols.
As a California kid, it will be quite the transition for him in Knoxville. That being said, landing Lamaleava has been the ultimate goal for Heupel since his arrival.
He has been the biggest and shiniest target for the Vols for quite a while.
Heupel and co. seem committed to making him feel comfortable and developing him in every way that they can.
