2025 five-star quarterback George MacIntyre, a Tennessee Vols commit since January, was expected to compete in the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles this week.
MacIntyre, however, had to pull out of the event due to an injury.
"Injury didn't heal in time and won't be able to make it, good luck to y'all boys tho," wrote MacIntyre in an Instagram post.

So what's the injury that MacIntyre suffered that's keeping him out of the Elite 11 Finals?
According to On3's Hayes Fawcett, MacIntyre has stitches in his "dominant side pointer finger", which apparently didn't heal in time to participate in the event.
MacIntyre, 6-foot-6/190 lbs from Nashville, TN, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 4 quarterback in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee. He's also rated as the No. 21 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.
The talented quarterback is in danger of dropping in industry recruiting rankings due to not participating in the Elite 11 Finals. That's due to the fact that players who participate in the event could pass MacIntyre in the rankings.
