In the first half of the Tennessee Vols' matchup against the Clemson Tigers in the Orange Bowl, UT head coach Josh Heupel drew a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct after a quarterback sneak by Joe Milton.
Heupel said something to the official right after the play and that's why he was flagged.
For much of the night, what Heupel said was a mystery. But thanks to internet legend Jomboy, we now know why the Tennessee head coach was mad.
After the flag, ESPN's cameras caught Heupel talking to the official that flagged him.
According to Jomboy, Heupel was complaining about the officials taking too long to spot the ball.
Tennessee's offense uses tempo more than any other program in the nation. And if the official isn't getting the ball set quickly enough, it slows that tempo down. So it's certainly easy to see why Heupel was frustrated.
